This page explains how a parent or guardian can ask us to delete a Sweetie Ears account and the personal information linked to it, including information we received through Facebook Login or another sign-in provider. You can make a request by email, and we will remove or de-identify the account except for information we must keep for legal, security, refund, accounting, or dispute reasons.
1. About These Instructions
Sweetie Ears is an ear-training app for young children, operated by WAWADATA LTD. A parent or guardian creates and manages the account, and can create it with Facebook Login or with another supported sign-in provider such as Google or Apple.
This page explains how to ask us to delete your Sweetie Ears account and the personal information connected to it. If you signed in with Facebook, a deletion request also covers the information we received from Facebook to create and secure your account. These instructions work alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes the information we collect and your privacy rights in more detail.
2. What Deleting Your Account Covers
When we delete your account, we remove or de-identify the parent or guardian account and any child learning profile connected to it, including the basic profile information a sign-in provider sent us when you registered.
If you used Facebook Login, the information we received from Facebook, such as the account identifier and the basic profile details Facebook shared to sign you in, is deleted or de-identified together with the account. In practice, a deletion request covers:
- Parent or guardian account information, such as the email address and sign-in provider identifier.
- Child learning profile information, such as the profile name, progress, session history, stars, and streaks.
- The information we received from Facebook, Google, Apple, or another provider to sign you in.
3. How to Request Deletion
To ask us to delete your account, send us an email. A short message is enough, and you do not need to explain why.
- Email privacy@sweetieears.com with the subject line Data deletion request.
- Send the message from the email address you use to sign in to Sweetie Ears, so we can match it to your account.
- Include the details below so we can find the right account and child profile.
- The email address on the account, if it is different from the address you are writing from.
- The sign-in provider you used to create the account, such as Facebook, Google, or Apple.
- The name of the child profile, if one is set up.
4. How We Handle Your Request
To protect the account, we may need to verify that you are the account holder before we delete anything. We may ask you to confirm details we already hold, and we will not ask for more information than we need to check your request.
We will confirm by email once the deletion is complete. We aim to complete a verified deletion request within 30 days, unless the law allows or requires us to take longer or to keep certain information.
5. What We Delete and What We Keep
We delete or de-identify the account and its learning data. In some cases we must keep a limited amount of information for a period of time, even after the account is deleted, where the law or a legitimate business need requires it.
We keep this information only for as long as it is needed, and then we delete, de-identify, or aggregate it. Examples of information we may need to keep include:
- Records we must retain for legal, tax, or accounting reasons.
- Information needed to handle refunds, chargebacks, or payment disputes.
- Limited security and diagnostic logs needed to protect the service and investigate abuse.
- Information we must keep to resolve a dispute or respond to a lawful request.
6. Cancel Paid Subscriptions Separately
If you subscribed to Sweetie Ears, your subscription is billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us directly. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription.
To stop future charges, cancel the subscription in the store where you bought it, using your Apple or Google account settings. If you cancel a subscription but do not ask us to delete your account, your account information stays with us as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Removing Access from Facebook or Google, and How to Reach Us
If you signed in with Facebook, you can also remove Sweetie Ears from your Facebook settings, under Business Integrations (Apps and Websites). If you signed in with Google, you can remove Sweetie Ears from your Google Account under Connections (third-party apps and services). Removing the app stops the provider from sharing further information with us, but it does not, by itself, delete the information we have already stored. To have that information deleted, please still email us using the steps above.
For any question about deleting your data, or about this page, contact us at privacy@sweetieears.com. For general help with the app, contact support@sweetieears.com.
